Olivia is very excited for Easter, so today we made another bunny craft! Since Olivia loves to use scissors, we incorporated them into our creation. Here are the other materials that we used:
- White construction paper
- Pink construction paper
- Green construction paper
- Glue stick
- Googly eyes
- Small pink heart foam sticker
- Black or brown marker
Olivia began by gluing the pink parts of the bunny’s ears to the white backgrounds.
Next, she glued the ears to the head and added some googly eyes. She thought it would be funny to choose eyes that didn’t match.
After the eyes, came the heart shaped nose, mouth and whiskers. She’s becoming quite the expert at making whiskers!
The last step was to make some grass for the Bunny to hide behind. To keep Olivia from cutting too much of the paper, I drew a line so that she knew where to stop. Scissor use is a great way to develop those hand muscles (as long as it’s done with adult supervision!)
Once the grass was cut, we flipped it over so that we wouldn’t see the pencil line. Olivia added some glue to the bottom of the Bunny and let him hide behind the grass. To complete the craft, I showed Olivia how to bend the paper to make it stick out a little bit.
