During last week’s visit with Joey we had fun making our Thanksgiving crafts! While we were making our crafts, we talked about some Thanksgiving words that begin with the letter “T” (turkey, thankful, Thanksgiving). To make learning about the letter “T” more fun, we went on a letter “T” hunt. I gave both Olivia and Joey and handful of letter “T’s” that I had cut out of construction paper. They had fun going from room to room and laying the “T’s” on top of different objects that begin with the letter “T.” Finding the toilet gave them a big laugh!
Even though Thanksgiving is over, you can still do this activity with your little ones. Instead of talking about the word turkey beginning with the letter “T,” you could use the word “tree,” since we have been seeing a lot of Christmas trees recently. You could also extend this activity to help your little ones learn other letters, too!
