I often try to look at the world through my child’s eyes. I’m not really sure if that is what I accomplished with this activity, but I found it truly interesting nonetheless. Olivia and I each had a large piece of blank construction paper, our own glue sticks, and the materials needed to make a snowman (out of paper). I started, by asking her what piece of the snowman we would need first. She told me the bottom circle, so we both picked up the largest circles and glued them to our papers. We repeated these steps, piece by piece, until the snowman was complete. I’m not sure if the results are really how she sees snowmen, or an indication of where she is with her fine motor skills, but either way, I think that she did a great job!
