Olivia loves looking for the letter “O” everywhere we go! She also loves find “P” for Pop, “D” for Daddy, and a bunch of other letter for family members that she knows. To take advantage of this interest in the ABCs, we made an “Olivia Snowman.” I found this idea on fun-a-day.com/name-snowmen. Each piece of the snowman has a different letter on it, that I helped Olivia to identify. (She does great with the capital letters, but we really haven’t done much with the lower case letters yet.) We also used this as a counting activity (How many letters are there in your name?) I think Olivia’s favorite part was drawing a face on the snowman. She insisted on using a pencil because that’s what big kids used, but agreed to use a marker to decorate the snowman’s hat.
